Long ago, in a place called The Kingdom, lived a handsome dog King, and his lovely dog Queen. Sadly, one day the great king passed from this world, leaving his beloved Queen alone with litter. An unscrupulous Dog Lord took advantage of the grief stricken Queen, and seized control of The Kingdom. Afraid for her life, and the lives of her pups, the Queen fled to the far away land of Birminghamia.
Life was hard for the Queen as she struggled to survive. On a dark Birminghamia night, the queen finally gave birth to two tiny pups. One was large and was the fiery red color of a King. The second was small, and bore the golden coat of royalty. The Queen was pleased to see her whelp alive, and she named them Prince Edward, and Princess Isabella.
Then one night tragedy visited as the Queen returned from searching for food. A fast moving carriage unable to stop in time, struck the Queen as she crossed the roadway. Mortally wounded the Queen called to her pups, who joined her on the roadside. In her last breaths she told the two of their royal heritage, and told them that one day they would return to their loving Kingdom.
The pups, alone and left to survive on their own laid for days until a kindly passerby discovered them, and saved their lives. The Saver took the gaunt siblings to Castle Riverview, a center of healing ruled by Four Kings, and Three Queens. At the Riverview, a talented healer named Lady Ashley was smitten with the two, and she labored day and night to nurse them back to health. Day after day the pups were attended by the healer Kings and Queens and their selfless associates. Finally the siblings recovered, and found a new home at Castle Riverview.
Back in The Kingdom, things had changed, the evil Dog Lord still ruled, but his grip on the land had wained. All about the voices of decent grew louder. Many were forsaken and abandon in The Kingdom, and many charitable groups of Rescuers helped find homes for the homeless. Among them were two wise Rescuers named Lady Meredith of Rubar, and Lady Kay of Till, who heard a tale that a golden and flaming red pair of pups had been saved in Riverview. Meredith and Kay knew in their hearts that these could only be the Royal Two, and sent messengers to the four corners to find someone mighty enough to rescue the Two, and bring them to their rightful home.
Still grieving the loss of her precious Sadie Mae, a fair maiden in The Kingdom named Lady Suzanne found one of the messages sent by the Rescuers. She was so happy that her heart nearly burst! One look told her that these were the lost brother and sister, and she set out immediately to bring them back to The Kingdom. The journey was fraught with dangers as powerful tempests raged. During the quest, Lady Suzanne's carriage was washed away by a mighty storm. Undeterred the Lady abandon her damaged carriage and procurred a second from the local Enterprise Rent-a- Carriage.
Days rolled on without sleep, and a fare of only the Elixir of The Starbuck, and Red Twizzler root. Finally The Lady arrived in Birminghamia, and was lavished with the finest lodging and fare by the Duchess Lafontaine of The Bamalands where Birminhamia was centered. After rest and long tearful goodbyes, The Lady set sail in her carriage back to The Kingdom.
Now the Prince and Princess have returned. Upon their arrival they were greeted with a parade of gifts. Each received their own bowel, unlimited chew toys, and their very own comfy beds from which to rule. Court Jester Willie was on hand and performed tricks for their amusement.Their arrival was proclaimed as the return of the Royals, and on that day they were named King Edward, and Princess Bella.
This is their story, this is their home, for as long as they both shall live.
